Park board meeting canceled for lack of quorum

Monday evening’s regular meeting of the Hill County Park Board was canceled for lack of quorum last night when most members didn’t show up after 15 minutes of waiting.

Members Lou Hagener, Larry Kinsella and Hill County Commissioner Mark Peterson were there, but no other members showed up by 5:45 p.m.

The Hill County commissioners are members of the park board.

Chair Jeff Jensen and board members Ursula Brese — who missed the January meeting due to health reasons — Pam Wilson, Tony Reum, Hill County Commissioner Jake Strissel and Hill County Commissioner Sheri Williams did not make Monday’s meeting.

The members present, along with Beaver Creek Park Superintendent Chad Edgar, his assistant Danielle Eldridge and members of the public, dispersed after that.
