Shipment delay stops printing; subscribers will be credited and paper can be seen online
Due to a supply shipment being delayed, Havre Daily News could not print today’s edition, for Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, and it will be online only.
Havre Daily News press operator Patrick Leeds said that some three weeks ago when he ordered the needed solution that he can’t run the press without, he was told it would arrive no later than Monday of this week.
He said he stretched out what the Havre Daily had until Monday, but after the solution did not arrive by Monday evening, he called the company today and was told it was back-ordered and would not arrive until next week.
Havre Daily is working to get some solution shipped overnight and hopes to print Wednesday, although the edition might be late.
Subscribers will be credited for today being online-only, extending their expiration date.
Subscribers can access the full website and also can access the e-edition, an electronic PDF version of the full paper, on their computers.
Subscribers who do not already have access to the e-edition can gain access by going to the website at https://havredailynews.com , clicking on “Free Trial” to the right of the black bar at the top of the page, and entering their information including listing an email and setting up a username and password.
People need to be sure to remember their password because Havre Daily does not have access to those and cannot tell people what they are.
The subscriber then must make sure to scroll to the bottom and enter the image verification information and also must reply to the verification email sent to them after enrollment is complete to gain access.
Once the enrollment and verification is complete, the subscriber can go to http://www.havredailynews.com and click on the “View PDF” button at the top right of the screen to view the full paper online.
People with questions can call the Havre Daily circulation department at 406-265-6795 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
