Road closed at Bear Paw Lake

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has announce that for at least the next week, the fishing access site at Bear Paw Lake, aka Second Lake, will be closed while construction crews are working to fix the road and dam at the lake. Part of the road along the dam washed out last summer as a result of heavy rains.

The FWP Region 6 notice said that even though road access is closed across the dam the east side of the site can be reached via the access road along the south end.
