This weekend, the Havre High wrestling teams will have a pair of competitions to wrap up their regular season. Tonight, the Blue Ponies will host CMR and Great Falls for their senior night. The Ponies will then head to Malta this weekend to compete in the Malta Invite. With these being their last competitions before the postseason, the Havre High wrestling teams are looking for a strong finish.
The Ponies will face CMR and Great Falls tonight at home at Havre High Gymnasium. For this last home competition of the season the Ponies will hold their senior night to honor seniors Carson Harris, Tristan Stygles, Reinhard Bold, Landen Caplette, Mason Wilting, Clara Laird, Brooklyn Nelson, Angelina Siebanaller and Aliyah Stiffarm.
After wrapping up their senior night, the Ponies head to Malta for their final tournament of the regular season. In their tournaments, both the HHS boys and girls teams will wrestle against schools such as Big Sandy, Billings Central, Chester-Joplin-Inverness, Chinook, Cut Bank, Fort Benton, Malta and Wolf Point.
In Malta this weekend, the Ponies' best wrestlers will look to end the regular season strong.
Wrestlers for the HHS boys team, such as Matt Lemer, Pierce Caplette and Tommy Lewis, will look to build on their strong regular seasons. From the HHS girls wrestling team, McKenna Caplette and Brooklyn Wilting hope to continue wrestling well for the Ponies.
The HHS wrestling teams will compete against CMR and Great Falls at HHS Gymnasium tonight at 4 and 6 p.m. The Ponies will then compete in the Malta Invite starting Saturday at 9 a.m.
