Neal Wayne Anderson of Havre, 65, was arrested on a charge of violation of a protective order after a Fifth Street caller reported a complaint at 10:36 a.m.

Gerald James Lightfoot of Havre, 56, was issued a summons on a theft charge after a caller at a First Street West business reported at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday that a man bought alcohol using a fake $20 bill.

Havre Animal Shelter
This morning the animal shelter held two cats, two 9-month-old kittens and three 8-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, two female cats and five male cats.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held 15 puppies between 12 weeks and 10 months old and two female mixed-breed dogs. Additionally, six 17-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
