Ponies return to the pool in Great Falls

After having their home meet canceled due to bad weather last weekend, the Havre High swim teams finally got back in the water.

Last Saturday, Havre was in Great Falls for the Stacy Frey Memorial, where the Ponies competed against a slew of Class AA teams, as well as Class A rivals Billings Central and Hardin.

In the team race, the Havre girls scored 77 points, while the HHS boys scored 48 points.

The Pony girls were led by by an outstanding second-place finish from senior Britton Elliot in the 50-yard freestyle. The Pony girls also took fifth in the 200 free relay and fifth in the 400 free relay.

On the boys side, HHS got a fourth-place finish from Blake Taylor in the 100 breaststroke, while Koby Preputin placed fifth in 100 backstroke,

Havre will return to Great Falls for another meet next Friday.
