After several postponements, the Havre High boys and girls basketball teams finally got to play when they hosted Sidney for a doubleheader at Havre High Gymnasium this past Friday. The HHS girls basketball team defended its home court with a 54-32 win over Sidney, but the HHS boys team lost, 65-55, to the visiting Eagles.

The HHS and Sidney boys teams got the night started with their contest. The Eagles took control early as they led, 17-13, to end the first quarter. The Blue Ponies kept with it, but they still trailed, 35-29, at halftime.

The Ponies began to climb their way back as they cut the deficit to 48-45 heading into the fourth quarter. But the Eagles retook momentum in the final frame to pull away for the win. Jackson Headdress led the Ponies with 13 points while his teammate Carter Spangler finished the night with 12 points. With the loss, the Ponies fell to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the Northeast A.
