Knights speech and drama excels at divisionals

North Star School announced that all seven speech and drama team members will be traveling to the Class BC State Speech, Debate and Drama tournament in Choteau this weekend, Jan. 26 and 27. 

In order to qualify for state, a competitor must place in the top six in their event in divisionals, and the Knights did just that at the Northern Division Class BC divisional tournament in Malta. 

The Knights brought home a first place medal in spontaneous interpretation of literature, with Emily Conner taking first and earning a divisional champion made.

CJ  Berton placed fourth in dramatic interp.

In humorous interpretation of literature, Troy Barrett placed fourth at divisional.

Original oratory saw Ecko Fraser taking second and Savannah Schaumloeffel place fifth. 

On the drama side, in humorous theatre Joshua Campbell and Cooper Clawson placed third.

In speech sweepstakes, North Star tied for fourth, while in drama sweepstakes the Knights brought home some hardware with a tie for second.
