Havre Police Department

Officers assisted at a vehicle fire on Third Street at 6:46 a.m. Tuesday.

A two-vehicle, non-injury crash involving a Dodge Durango and a Ford Taurus was reported on Third Street at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, with two wrecker services attending at the scene.

Two summonses were issued after officers were called to Havre High School Tuesday at 12:36 p.m. and 12:56 p.m. for juveniles with vape pens. No details on charges were provided.

A 7:02 p.m. Tuesday caller at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business reported an item was stolen then returned, but the caller still wished to press charges.

Brandon Lee Main of Chinook, 44, was arrested on a pick up and hold order while officers were assisting Montana Highway Patrol at Seventh Street and Fifth Avenue Tuesday at 9:26 p.m.

A Second Street caller asked at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday to speak with an officer about trouble with an ex and to request extra patrols.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies searched for, but could not locate, an older model green Chevrolet truck that was reported at 1:46 p.m. Tuesday traveling east on U.S. Highway 2 at a high rate of speed and almost running other drivers off the road.

Deputies assisted at Old Post Road and U.S. Highway 87 where a semitractor-trailer was blocking traffic at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to four calls Tuesday.

Firefighters responded to three calls Tuesday: Two were reports of gas odor, on the 800 Block of Fifth Avenue at 1:10 p.m. and the 400 Block of 10th Street at 8:27 p.m., with nothing being found at either location, and the other call was for a broken fire sprinkler at the 10 Block of Third Street West at 2:26 p.m.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held five cats of unknown gender, two female cats, four male cats and a 22-week-old male kitten.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held 15 puppies between 11 weeks and 10 months old, one female mixed-breed dog, and one male mixed-breed dog. Additionally, six 16-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
