Obituary - Mary Sandra 'Sandy' Long

Mary Sandra Long, known as "Sandy," was at home with her family when she peacefully passed away January 12, 2024, in Woodburn, Oregon.

Mary was born August 18, 1942, in Lander, Wyoming. Her family moved to Montana, where she met Franklin Long, the love of her life. They married in 1960 on her 18th birthday. They had 63 wonderful argumentative years together.

Throughout the years, she had many roles, but her most cherished was that of wife and mother. The title of "Nana" brought her the most joy.

She loved the simple things in life, such as gardening, bird watching and being chauffeured.

Mary is survived by her husband, Frank, and her daughters, Pamela Stocker, Kary Long, and Linda Long, as well as three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

May the roads in the afterlife be as smooth as the rides she cherished. 

A memorial service will be held January 20, 2024, at 3 p.m. at LDS Church in Salem, Oregon, at 570 Madison St, Salem, OR 97303.
