Havre Police Department

Martin James Koop of Havre, 29, was arrested on charges of driving without a driver's license and operating a vehicle with fictitious plates and on five Justice or City court warrants after officers served a warrant on Second Avenue Friday at 11:25 a.m.

A Boulevard Avenue caller reported Friday at 12:26 p.m. fining rat poison in their yard.

--

A written or verbal warning was issued after an intoxicated woman was reported in the office of a First Street business at 1:08 p.m. Friday.

--

A 6:18 p.m. Friday caller reported that they had just backed into another vehicle at a First Street West business.

--

Thomasina Lynn Grant of Havre, 41, was arrested at 11:05 p.m. Friday on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and resisting arrest after officers stopped to investigate suspicious activity at a First Street business.

Patricia Marie Huntley of Havre, 37, was arrested on charges of assault with a weapon and partner of family member assault after a Fourth Street caller reported Saturday at 2:38 a.m. that they had been struck by their significant other.

Officers assisted another agency on Third Street West at 12:23 p.m. Saturday.

--

A Saturday 12:59 p.m. caller at a First Street business reported finding a fake movie prop $100 bill.

--

A 10th Avenue caller reported Saturday at 2:53 p.m. their windshield had been busted up.

--

Officers responded to a Saturday 5:12 p.m. request for assistance on First Street Northeast and the incident was resolved peacefully.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a caller on Ninth Avenue asked officers at 8:41 p.m. Saturday to check on some dogs that hadn't been fed or watered all day.

A Third Avenue caller reported Saturday at 8:43 p.m. that someone had damaged the caller's tires.

Richard James Olin-Berger of Havre, 22, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and obstructing a peace officer or other public servant during a vehicle stop on Third Street at 1:36 a.m. Sunday.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a caller on Fourth Avenue reported Sunday at 7:40 a.m. that two dogs had been barking since 6:30 a.m.

A 13th Street caller reported Sunday at 12:11 p.m. seeing a deer with an injured leg.

--

A 1987 Blue Toyota Camry was reported stolen on 15th Avenue Sunday at 7:50 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

An arrest was made Friday at 11:26 a.m. on a warrant served at Hi ll County Detention Center. No details on charges were provided.

Taylor O'Rion Bacon of Havre, 22, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants and one state District Court warrant, all served at the detention center Friday at 12:23 p.m.

Michael Paul Russette of Box Elder, 35, was arrested on four Justice or City court warrants after a caller at Box Elder establishment reported Friday at 2:25 p.m. that a man was refusing to leave.

A firearm was reported found at the shooting range at 9:44 p.m. Friday and was turned in to the sheriff's office.

--

A Box Elder area caller asked Saturday at 10:58 a.m. to speak with a deputy.

--

Vandalism was reported at a business on 73rd Avenue West Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

--

A caller at Havre City-County Airport asked Saturday at 12:03 p.m. for assistance with someone who tried to take a weapon through processing.

--

A Saturday 4:25 p.m. caller at the Box Elder Post Office asked to speak with a deputy.

Jasmin Shay Demontiney of Box Elder, 27, was arrested on charges of vehicle theft, trespass to vehicles, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and vandalism after a complaint was made at a Box Elder establishment Sunday at 4:20 p.m.

An arrest was made during a vehicle stop on U.S. Highway 2 West Sunday at 12:34 p.m. No details on charges were provided.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to four calls Friday, three calls Saturday, one call Sunday and five calls Monday.

Friday, firefighters responded to two calls. The first call was to a report of a gas leak on McKinley Avenue at 12:02 p.m., but no leak was found. The second call was to a fire on Cleveland Avenue at 10:15 p.m. where a heating pad had caught a plastic doghouse on fire and spread to another covering, but the small fire was contained and suppressed with an extinguisher and a garden hose.

Firefighters responded Saturday to a power line transformer fire on the 400 Block of South Dell where the transformer had shorted out and burned the transformer, but the fire didn't spread. Firefighters secured the scene and a NorthWestern Energy crew repaired the damage and restored power.

Firefighters responded at 2:32 a.m. today to a smoke alarm in the loading dock at the hospital where wires in the structure shorted out and the resulting smoke triggered the alarm. No fire was found and the scene was turned over to the hospital maintenance crew.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held four female cats, two 7-month-old kittens, one 16-week-old kitten and one male cat.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held five female mixed-breed dogs, five puppies between 17 weeks and 9 months old, and a female and a male Rottweiler. Additionally, two puppies, ages 20-weeks and 25-weeks, were being housed offsite.
