Week of holiday events lead up to Christmas on the Hi-Line

Another week of holiday events is coming to town this week, as Christmas approaches this weekend.

Kris Kringle will be at the Rocky Boy Health Center Grand Hall Wednesday 3-7 p.m. for Pictures with Santa, a free event for the whole family with activities and snacks.

Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the Fort Belknap Bingo Hall will be the free Here Comes Christmas event, with face painting, arts and crafts, a bouncy house, door prizes, vendors and an appearance by the jolly old elf and his crew for pictures.

Christmas Family Craft Day will start at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Kills At Night Center in Hays with with Christmas arts and crafts, hot chocolate and cookies.

This will also be the final stretch of the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Stroll, with participating businesses around Havre engaging in this year’s extended community treasure hunt.

People with a numbered button from the Havre Chamber of Commerce or from participating businesses and can search for their number, hidden in plain sight somewhere in these businesses for a prize.

The event lasts until Friday at participating local businesses.

Christmas Day at the Havre Eagles Club will be this year’s Community Christmas Dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., one of the biggest holiday events in Havre thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers.

The meal is free of charge, but donations are welcome and proceeds will go to the dinner costs.

Deliveries are available, and people can call the North Central Senior Center at 406-265-5464 to order one by 3 p.m. Friday.

Turkeys have been donated by the Milk River Gobblers.

If anyone from the public wishes to volunteer, they can contact Candace Dess at the Eagles Club at 406-265-9551.

Shows of “Puss in Boots Christmas Panto,” a Christmas comedy production from Montana Actors’ Theatre will also run at 7 p.m. at MSU-Northern Little Theatre Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
