Havre Police Department

A 14-year-old was issued a summons on a charge of underage tobacco possession or consumption after a juvenile with a vape pen was reported at Havre High School Thursday at 11:10 a.m.

Lane Thomas Allen of Harlem, 22, was arrested on a state District Court warrant after a caller at probation and parole on First Street reported a man with an outstanding warrant at 11:21 a.m. Thursday.

Lawrence Curtis Carter of Havre, 69, was issued a summons on a charge of operating a vehicle with fictitious plates during a vehicle stop on Sixth Avenue Thursday at 12:04 p.m.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a caller on Third Avenue West at 2:52 p.m. reported 10 people standing in a a backyard drinking.

A Thursday 3:19 p.m. report of a water main break on Fourth Street was referred to Havre Public Works.

Fred Nashookpuk of Havre, 38, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant after a Tenth Avenue caller reported Thursday at 9:02 p.m. that their significant other beat them up.

A 16th Street West caller reported Thursday at 9:44 p.m. that a man had hit the caller in the back of the head, causing bleeding.

--

At least two callers reported around 5:10 a.m. today that a driver in an older 2000s black Dodge was driving in the wrong lane on the hill on 13th Street and almost hit a car.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A 9:41 a.m. Thursday report of a hit and run crash in Box Elder was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

A Thursday 5:27 p.m. report of a vehicle hitting a deer on U.S. Highway 87 near mile marker 107 was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

An arrest was made on a warrant served Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Hill County Detention Center, but no details on the charges were provided.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Thursday.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held two 15-week-old kittens of unknown gender, three female cats, seven kittens between 15 weeks and 7 months old, and two male cats.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held four female mixed-breed dogs, seven puppies between 14 weeks and 6 months old, a female and a male Rottweiler and a female German shepherd. Additionally, two puppies, ages 19-weeks and 24-weeks, were being housed offsite.
