North Star speech and drama excels at Fort Benton

The North Star School speech and drama team traveled to Fort Benton Saturday and took fourth place overall in speech sweepstakes.

In original oratory, Ecko Fraser placed first, while Savannah Schaumloeffel took fourth. In dramatic interpretation of literature, Emily Conner took eighth. In humorous interpretation of literature, Joshua Campbell placed third, while Troy Barrett took fifth.

The next meet will be Jan. 6 in Shelby.
