The Havre High wrestling teams have now wrapped up the first two weeks of the 2023-24 season. Last weekend, the Blue Pony boys team took part in the annual Mining City Duals, where they tied for fourth in the consolation bracket.
Friday, the Ponies opened the tournament with Pool Play, there they were defeated by Frenchtown 51-15, Missoula Sentinel 48-24 and Flathead 60-6.
On Saturday, Havre bounced back to defeat Helena High 39-30 with wins from Landen Caplette, Mason Wilting, Brandon Healy, Isaiah Otto, Reed Mantle, Carson Harris and Reinhard Bold. Havre also took care of Browning by a score of 46-24, as Healy, Tucker Stygles, Max Holdorff, Grady Haney, Matt Lemer, Mantle, Harris, Bold and Wilting were all victorious for the Blue Ponies.
Over the weekend, the Havre High girls wrestling team took part in the Flathead Girls Invitational, where Aliyah Stiffarm placed third going 4-1 for the Ponies. Angelina Siebanaller went 2-2 at 235, while Poloma Padilla was 1-2 at 145, and Brooklyn Nelson and Brooklyn Wilting were each 1-2 at 132 and 102, respectively.
Tbe Blue Pony wrestling teams will be back in action this Friday and Saturday at the CMR Holiday Classic in Great Falls.
