HHS swimmers begin new season

The winter is here, and that means swimming at Havre High. And the Blue Ponies jump into the pool this weekend, with a new, old head coach.

Jill Cammon, who has been an assistant at HHS for several years, assumes her old role as head swimming coach for the Blue Ponies, as they start a new season this weekend in Billings.

Cammon will have some experienced swimmers returning on both the HHS boys and girls teams, but overall, Havre will rely on a lot of newcomers this season.

Havre will have a challenging schedule that starts with this weekend’s Billings Invitational. The Ponies then travel to two meets in Great Falls Dec. 15-16, before returning from Christmas break for the annual Havre Invitational Jan. 6.

The second half of Havre’s schedule includes the Eastern A Invite Jan. 13, also in Havre, followed by the Great Falls Invite Jan. 19-20.

The 2023-24 Havre High swim season culminates with the Montana State Swimming Championships Feb. 9-10, also in Great Falls.
