Grief Poem - Remembering Dear Ones

Remembering folks in Holidays, seems good to do just that!

Remembering guys in our family who wore a special hat!

December is a special time - though it can be quite cold.

Our Mamma dressed us in warm coats when we weren't very old.

But now many dear ones have left, they flew off straight to YOU!

Just thinking back of special days, some days we feel quite blue.

There's Birthdays by the dozens, Lord, 'bout half of them are kin!

To 'reach' those who remain with us, just where do we begin?

Forever there's tomorrow, Lord, however hard the day.

There's always an end to sorrow, to wipe our tears away.

There is a reason that we live, though sad our heart may be.

There's still another horizon, beyond the one we see.

Sweet are our special thoughts, dear Lord, though folks are not with me;

Yet in some mysterious way, they keep me company.

We miss our dear ones, oh, so much, please heal our aching heart;

It's hard to move beyond our grief; T'was difficult to part.

So many of our loved ones Lord, have gone ahead of us.

But You'll be calling us home, too; we shouldn't make a fuss.

We still do grieve, but know You love[1]; the Bible says You do.

We give You thanks for our dear ones, so glad they're safe with YOU!

Meanwhile, down here, we'll honor You, our Savior up above.

Reminder is our Christmas Tree - reminds us of YOUR love.
