A 6 a.m. Wednesday caller on Main Street reported two dogs at large and a later caller reported having caught the dogs on Seventh Avenue and was holding them for officers to pick up.

A shoplifter was reported at a First Street business at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a dog was reported running loose Wednesday at 8:24 a.m. on Cleveland Avenue.

A garbage can theft was reported on Fifth Avenue Wednesday at 9:07 a.m.

A very skinny brindle and white dog was reported running loose and couldn't be caught Wednesday at 11:35 a.m. on First Street West and again at 11:42 a.m. on Third Avenue.

A Fifth Street caller asked Wednesday at 2:27 p.m. to speak with an officer about a theft, forgery or fraud.

Cheryl Marie Matte of Box Elder, 53, was arrested on three Justice or City court warrants and a state District Court warrant served at the hospital at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday in relation to an assault report at 2:57 p.m.

Randy David Faldalen of Havre, 41, was arrested on a state District Court warrant and a Justice or City court warrant served after a vehicle stop on 10th Street at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday.

Someone stopped at the police station Wednesday at 5:41 p.m. asking to speak with an officer about troubles with an ex.

A Wednesday 7:54 p.m. on 16th Street West reported a missing German shepherd that was wearing a pink collar.

Two callers Wednesday at 8:34 p.m. reported a breaking at a house on 16th Street West.
Hill County Sheriff's Office
Darrin Kent Torgerson of Havre, 51, who has been held at Hill County Detention Center since Feb. 20, was also arrested on a state District court warrant served at the detention center Wednesday at 9:01 a.m.

A 9:08 p.m. Wednesday caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported finding the doors to their pickup open when they got out of the store.

Charlye Jillian Garcia of Havre, 34, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, and on eight Justice or City court warrants and a state District Court warrant after deputies initiated investigation of suspicious activity at the rookery on River Road Wednesday at 10:56 p.m.

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Wednesday.
Havre Animal Shelter
This morning the animal shelter held two 6-month-old kittens, two 14-week-old kittens and one cat all of unknown gender, three female cats, seven kittens between 13 weeks and 6 months old, and one male cat.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held four female mixed-breed dogs, five puppies between 13 and 20 weeks old, and a female German shepherd. Additionally, two puppies, ages 16-weeks and 22-week, were being housed offsite.
