After a cold Thanksgiving and a warmer weekend, Havre is likely to see another burst of cold this week followed again by a slightly less chilly weekend.
National Weather Service is predicting a high of 38 degrees today with a low of 16 tonight with highs of 33 and 35 Thursday and Friday, and lows of 15 and 22 respectively.
Things will jump back out of freezing territory this weekend during the days however with a Saturday and Sunday high of 42, though overnight lows are predicted to stay well below freezing with a Saturday low of 22.
As for the beginning of next week, the temperatures are expected to keep climbing, to 44 Monday and 55 Tuesday, though lows will increase less dramatically, staying just below freezing Sunday and Monday nights.
Clouds are expected to move in tonight and stick around throughout the rest of the week and weekend, with Thursday night through Friday night seeing significant cloud cover, though Saturday and Sunday are predicted to see fewer clouds during the day.
Saturday and Sunday nights are predicted to stay cloudy, and there is a slight chance of snow Sunday night, though that is the only predicted precipitation for the seven days.
The service says it looks like clouds will dissipate a bit going into next week as well.
Winds will likely stay low between now and Friday with 11 miles per hour predicted today from the west, decreasing to between 3 and 8 miles per hour until Friday night, mainly from the south.
After that, Friday night, the service predicts that southwest winds will pick up to between 9 and 16 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 24 miles per hour.
Saturday, the winds are predicted to increase to between 14 and 18 miles per hour with gusts as high as 28 miles per hour, but will calm slightly, staying at around 14 piles per hour with gusts of up to 22 miles per hour.
