Officers were asked Monday at 12:18 p.m. to assist Montana Highway Patrol with a warrant, and John Burns, who was named as an involved party, is listed in this morning's jail roster as being held on a $250,000 bond for a Yellowstone District Court warrant on charges of sexual assault of a minor and intimidation, solicitation or tampering with a witness.

Jaden Latray of Havre, 18, was issued a summons on a charge of minor in possession and Issabell Raelynn Cochran of Havre, 18, was arrested on a charge of MIP and on three Justice or City court warrants after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business told officers Monday at at 5:11 p.m. they thought underage kids were drinking in the building.

A caller on 11th Street West reported Monday at 7:36 p.m. seeing a dog and cat hit by a truck and the driver left the scene. A second person stopped at the police station at 8:26 p.m. to speak with the officer who helped the juveniles with the hit dog.

Officers assisted Havre Fire with an ambulance call on 12th Avenue at 4:38 a.m. today.
Hill County Sheriff's Office
Darrell Gardipee Jr. was arrested Monday on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, fleeing, no driver's license, no vehicle insurance, no vehicle registration and speeding, and on three City Court warrants and four Justice Court warrants. Hill County Undersheriff Stan Martin said the charges stem from a pursuit Nov. 18 when deputies attempted to stop Gardipee in Box Elder, but he fled onto Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation where Rocky Boy Police officers joined the pursuit. After Gardipee's vehicle got bogged down in a field off Lower Box Elder Road, he and a passenger then attempted to flee on foot, but Gardipee was caught and arrested by Rocky Boy Police. Martin said Gardipee was held in the Rocky Boy jail until the extradition process was completed allowing for Gardipee's transfer to Hill County Detention Center.

A written or verbal warning was issued after deputies at 9:50 p.m. Monday investigated suspicious activity at the softball complex south of Havre.
Montana Highway Patrol
The Montana Highway Patrol website reported a vehicle crash with an injury at 6:25 p.m. Monday in Blaine County on U.S. Highway 2 a few miles east of the Hill-Blaine county line near mile marker 295. A call to the responding trooper was not returned by print deadline.
Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical technicians responded to five calls Monday and one call early this morning.

Firefighters responded with one engine and six personnel to a Monday 12:39 p.m. report of the sound of a smoke alarm and the smell of smoke coming from a residence on the 800 Block of First Avenue, Havre Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said. No one was home at the time, but with faint gray smoke coming from the eaves of the home, firefighters made entry into the residence where they discovered a laundry bag of clothes on fire. They extinguished the fire, containing the fire damage to the clothing and the carpet, but the home did sustain smoke damage, Courtnage added.
Havre Animal Shelter
This morning the animal shelter held two 6-month-old kittens, four 14-week-old kittens and one cat all of unknown gender, three female cats, six kittens between 13 weeks and 6 months old, and two male cats.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held four female mixed-breed dogs, five puppies between 13 and 19 weeks old, and a female German shepherd. Additionally, two puppies, ages 16-weeks and 21-week, were being housed offsite.
