A 6:29 a.m. Wednesday caller asked officers to check on two young kids sitting on a corner on Fourth Street who they said they were OK and waiting for a bus, but the caller thought it was very early for a bus.

Donald Lealan Linderman of Havre, 36, was issued a summons on a shoplifting charge after a theft was reported at a First Street business Wednesday at 8:20 a.m.

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported Wednesday at 1:19 p.m. at a First Street West business.

Raheem Michael Main of Dodson, 30, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a Wednesday 4:23 p.m. caller reported a man passed out in the Second Street alley.

Officers investigated a suspicious 911 call made at 10:51 p.m. Wednesday on 10th Avenue.
Hill County Sheriff's Office
Deputies were asked to provide assistance Wednesday at 9:59 p.m. northeast of Havre.
Montana Highway Patrol
A BNSF Railway caller reported Wednesday at 8:10 a.m. that a train struck a vehicle approximately 1 mile east of Kremlin. Trooper Christopher Baker said a FedEx driver reported he was traveling south bound on Chain Lake Road, aka County Road 325 North, and at the railroad crossing failed to see an oncoming freight train. The back end of the truck was struck by the train. No one was injured in the crash, Baker said, but the truck was totaled and the train incurred minimal damage to the front of the engine. The driver, he added, was issued a citation on a charge of careless driving.
Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical technicians responded to nine calls Wednesday, including one call accompanying firefighters to a 9:51 a.m. report of a downed power line on U.S. Highway 2 East.
Havre Animal Shelter
This morning the animal shelter held five female cats, three male cats, three 10-week-old kittens and one cat of unknown gender.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held six female mixed-breed dogs, one 6-month-old puppy, nine puppies between 10 and 17 weeks old, and a female German shepherd.
