After some precipitation going into the weekend, the Havre area will see temperatures bounce between above and below freezing for the next few days.
National Weather Service reports Havre had received by Sunday .17 inches of precipitation at its recording station at the Havre City-County Airport, nearly double the normal amount of .09 inches by Nov. 5.
The area also saw a spurt of early winter weather in the past two weeks with snowfall and a stretch of days with highs below freezing, leading into a gradual warm up last week, but that trend looks poised to reverse this week.
The National Weather Service is predicting a high of 53 today and Tuesday with with lows around freezing at night,
Then, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Weather Service is predicting a high of 45, but overnight lows will gradually decrease, from 28 Tuesday, to 24 Wednesday and 21 Thursday.
Temperatures are predicted to rise to highs of 49 on Veteran's Day, and 52 Sunday, with lows of 26 Friday night and 33 Saturday night.
Cloud cover is expected to increase throughout today, but reduce from there as the week continues.
As for precipitation, National Weather Service is projecting a 50/50 chance of rain tonight with a slight chance of rain becoming a slight chance of snow Tuesday night with no predicted accumulation. Wednesday through Friday are predicted to see no precipitation.
Winds are predicted to be below 10 miles per hour today, but could rise to 15 mph tonight with gusts of up to 20 mph, all from the southwest.
Tuesday is expected to see those winds increase substantially to between 23 and 31 mph with gusts as high as 41 mph.
Tuesday night those winds are likely to reduce to between 15 and 22 mph with gusts as high as 32 mph.
Winds are expected to be between 11 and 16 mph Wednesday with 24 mph gusts, reducing to 13 mph with 12 mph gusts.
