The Montana State University-Northern Skylights returned from the long Frontier Conference volleyball break, but, they couldn’t find the win column.
The Skylights volleyball team lost in a Frontier Conference matchup against Montana Western in Dillon, Montana. The Skylights lost in four sets (25-10, 23-25, 25-19, and 25-12).
The Bulldogs jumped on the Skylights early in the first set and never looked back. Montana Western took the lead early in the second set. The Skylights battle back to take the lead 18-17. Northern kept the lead the rest of the way to take the set. The Skylights took the lead early in the third set, but the Bulldogs were able to take the lead 16-15 and never looked back. Montana Western took the lead in the fourth set and never looked back.
The Skylights were led by Alana Graves, who tallied 12 kills with a hitting percentage of .320. Baily Egan led the team in digs with 27. Emily Feller led the team in assists with 21.
The Bulldogs were led by Danyel Martin, who each had 15 kills with a hitting percentage of .387. Jazi Smith and Jorden Olsen added 11 kills. Kaylee Fritz led the team with 32 assists in the match. Kelsey Goddard also led the team with 27 digs.
The Skylights are 9-12 overall and 1-5 in Conference. They host their Pink Game against Montana Tech Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Armory Gymnasium.
