Blue Ponies wrap up season with road trip

It feels like it barely just started, but the regular season for the Havre High volleyball team will come to an end this weekend. With road trips to Sidney and Miles City to wrap up the year, the Blue Ponies will be looking for a strong finish.

The Ponies will start the road trip with a match against Sidney this Friday night. The Eagles currently stand at fourth in the Northeast A heading into the match. The Ponies already defeated Sidney, 3-2, earlier this season at home, so they will be looking for another win over the Eagles.

The Ponies will then finish the regular season Saturday night with a road match against Miles City. The Cowgirls are currently last in the Northeast A standings, so they will be looking for a conference win to end the year. The Ponies defeated Miles City, 3-0, at home earlier this season. And at Blocktoberfest in Butte this past weekend, the Ponies defeated Miles City, 30-24, in one set.

With two more matches this season, the Ponies will be looking for a strong finish this year. The Ponies have already had a great year with a 9-3 overall record and a 5-1 conference record, good for first in the Northeast A.

Last weekend, the Ponies stayed hot as they went 7-3 at the Blocktoberfest tournament. With the postseason beginning the following weekend, the Ponies will look to continue their hot play and head into divisionals at their best.

The HHS volleyball team will play Sidney this Friday at 5 p.m. The Ponies will then wrap up the weekend when they head on the road to play Miles City this Saturday at 4 p.m.
