Havre Police Department

A Wednesday 9:08 a.m. request for a welfare check on family members in Havre was referred to Child Protective Services.

A stolen wallet was reported at the police station at 10:23 a.m. Wednesday.

A vehicle crash was reported on 11th Street West Wednesday at 11:33 a.m.

--

A theft was reported Wednesday at 12:01 p.m. on Fifth Avenue.

Jasmin Rose Laforge of Havre, 28, was issued a summons on a theft charge after a Wednesday 12:27 p.m. caller at a Second Street organization reported seeing a suspect in a theft incident.

Desirea Lee Writingbird of Box Elder, 43, was arrested on charges of trespass to property and theft after a caller at a First Street business reported a trespasser at 2:39 p.m. Wednesday.

A 12-year-old, two 13-year-olds and two 14-year-olds were each issued a summons on a charge of juvenile curfew violation after officers investigated suspicious activity in Patterson Park on 11th Avenue at 1:20 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Officer

A Wednesday 10:08 a.m. call reporting a stop sign had been hit at 38th Avenue Northeast and U.S. Highway 2 East was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

Two arrests were made after a theft, forgery or fraud was reported at a U.S. Highway 2 West business Wednesday at 12:20 p.m. No details on charges were provided.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to five calls Wednesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held four female cats and three male cats.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held six female mixed-breed dogs, two 14-week-old puppies, a male 6-month-old puppy, a female German shepherd, a male 23-week-old puppy, four 13-week-old puppies and a female 17-week-old puppy. Additionally, two 16-week-old puppies and one 11-week-old puppy were being housed off-site.
