Sunday car chase ends in arrest east of Havre

A car chase in Blaine County ended in an arrest of Christian Daniel Takesenemy of Hardin, 26, on federal warrants just west of the Hill-Blaine county line Sunday evening.

Hill County Sheriff’s office received a call to assist another agency on U.S. Highway 2 Sunday just after 10 p.m.

Hill County Undersheriff Stan Martin said Chinook Police had been pursuing a vehicle and Montana Highway Patrol deployed spike strips to stop the vehicle just west of the county line between Hill and Blaine counties.

Martin said the suspect fled from his vehicle on foot but was apprehended and is now being held on federal warrants.

He said there are no further details available at this time.
