After a heartbreaking loss last Wednesday to the University of Providence, the Montana State University-Northern volleyball team was hoping to bounce back with a Frontier Conference win. Instead, the Skylights fell short at Montana Tech.
The Skylights volleyball team lost in a Frontier Conference matchup against No. 9 Montana Tech Friday in Butte, Montana. The MSU-Northern Skylights lost in four sets (17-25, 25-13, 25-21, and 25-23).
The Skylights were led by Emily Feller with nine kills hitting a percentage of .381. Alana Graves added 15 kills. Macee Murphy led the team in assists with 24 and in digs with 19. The Orediggers were led by Maureen Jessop, who had 13 kills hitting a percentage of .243. Rhys Layton led the team with 18 assists in the match. Jelena Jablanov led the team with 21 digs.
The Skylights are 8-10 overall and 0-3 in the Frontier Conference. The Skylights will be at home Wednesday night to host Carroll College.
