Steven A. Faechner passed peacefully September 22, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Beaver Creek First Lake Community Effort Pavilion, second right after entering park. Please bring your lawn chairs. If it is raining the Celebration of Life will be moved to Montana State University-Northern SUB.
Steve was born August 15, 1958, to Earny and Clo (Sisson) Faechner in Havre, Montana. He graduated from Havre High School in 1976.
Steve worked for BNSF until he was injured where his many lifelong friendships where made. He then began his taxidermy business and then a tannery for taxidermist for many years and eventually became a medical cannabis grower.
Steve was one of the founding members of the Montana Walleye's Unlimited organization.
His favorite past time was fishing and hunting with his daughters, grandkids and many many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kimberly Bidwell Faechner; daughters, Serena Overcast (Kale), Danielle Faechner (Kevin Anderson); grandsons Kye Daniel and Jaxson; granddaughters Kaelina and Mila; brother, Dennis (Chel) Faechner; sister, Sue Solomon; nieces, and great-nieces and -nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clo (Sisson) and Earny Faechner.
Kim would like to add a special thank you to Steve's many very good friends who came to visit with and spend time with him over the last several months when he was no longer able to leave the house and an extra special thank you to Josh Fehr who helped Steve and Kim immensely over these last few years.
Any donations will be used for medical expenses.
