Area ladies invited to attend fellowship retreat

"If you've been walking the same old road for miles and miles; if you've been hearing the same old voice, tell the same old lies; if you're trying to fill the same old holes inside, there's a better life. There's a better life. If you've got pain, He's a pain taker. If you feel lost, He's a way maker. If you need freedom or saving, He's a prison shaking Savior. If you have chains, He's a chain breaker."

Fifth Avenue Christian Church invites every lady and teenage girl on the Hi-Line to a Ladies Fellowship Retreat Friday, Sept. 29, and Saturday, Sept. 30.

The event theme is "Chain Breaker." The speaker is Mallory Jenkins of Joplin, Missouri. Mallory serves as a creative programmer at Christ in Youth. Christ in Youth provides mega youth rallies throughout the United States. She attended Ozark Christian College and graduated with bachelor's degree in biblical communications in 2016. She attends Christ's Church in Oronogo.

Because of her love of young people, she will be offering a session just for teenage girls Saturday morning.

The retreat will begin at 4 p.m Friday, Sept. 29, with registration. This will be followed with a welcome session, dinner and an evening of inspiration and fun. Saturday will start at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and be followed by inspirational sessions, crafts and workshops. The day will conclude with a final session with our guest speaker and end at 4 p.m.

The cosst of the fellowship retreat is $30 for both days or $15 if attendees are only able to come one day. If possible, attendees are encouraged to bring any extra fabric they might have that is appropriate for the "Blankie Blessing" ministry of the church.

Please call the Fifth Avenue Christian Church Office and Peggy Giblin, secretary, 406-265-7337 to register. Family, friends and neighbors are also invited.

"We've all searched for the light of day in the dead of night, we've all found ourselves worn out from the same old fight. We've all run to things we know just aren't right, when there's a better life. There's a better life. If you've got pain, He's a pain taker. If you feel lost, He's a way maker. If you need freedom or saving, He's a prison shaking Savior. If you have chains, He's a chain breaker."
