From tee to green: Ponies headed to the postseason

It was a big week for the Havre High golf teams, and an even bigger one is coming up.

The Blue Ponies will head to the Eastern A Divisional this week in Sidney, but before they go, they played at the Billings Central and Laurel Invites, last weekend.

Havre did well in both meets. In Billings, the Pony girls finished fourth, led by Shea Reber's 89, while Brenna Hanson and Tierra Parker were also Top 20. The HHS boys finished fifth, with Matt Huse, Reid Kato, Noah Barrett, Callen Stoner and Shane Patacsil all posting Top 20 finishes.

Havre played at Laurel Friday with the HHS girls again placing fourth. Reber shot a 97 to lead the way. The Pony boys also finished fourth in Laurel with Huse shooting a career-best 78 to place fifth overall. Kato and Patacsil each shot 92.

The Ponies are headed to Sidney for Thursday's Eastern A Divisional Tournament. Good luck, coach Murphy and the players!

ShaAnn Danelson led the Skylights coming in at 37th place with a score of 221 (79 over par). Savannah Toms finished in T38th place with a score of 228 (86 over par).

The Lights came in seventh place with a score of 1102 (262 over par). Theron Peterson scored a 253 (43 over par) tying for 35 place. Kyler Cassel scored 269 coming in at 41. Tristan Fladager came in 43 with a score of 282. Mason Rathbun hit a 298.
