Havre Public Works announced that the bulk water station on 16th Avenue is again not usable.

“We hate to say it, but the bulk water plant is again out of service,” the department said in a release. “We have a new card reader on order already and hope that it arrives soon so that we can get this fixed once and for all.”

The release said that, until the repairs are complete, people who use the bulk water plant go to the city shop for water until it is fixed.

When the station was closed waiting for repairs in late August, Public Works said people will need to fill out their information at the shop before obtaining the water there.

The City Shop is open 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is located at 195 12th Avenue off Second Street West near the Great Northern Fairgrounds.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the run-around to our customers,” the release said. “As we said before, we are working on a long term solution, but until then, we have to work with what we have.”
