The North Central Hangar's annual Air Fair Fly In Breakfast seemed to be a great success Saturday.
"This is the most spectacular turnout we have ever had for maybe 50 years," North Central Hangar President Willie Hurd said. "We are really excited. We were a little overwhelmed by the tremendous turnout of the Havre people and the community. We would like to thank everybody for showing up and being a part of this event today. Spectacular."
The event featured a breakfast prepared by the Havre Lions Club and served by members of North Central Hangar, offered this year at no charge with free-will donations accepted.
The show also featured an aerobatics show by US National Aerobatic Team members and Craig Gifford and Brittanee Lincoln, the granddaughter of local pilot Roger Lincoln.
Keith Richardson said he was enjoying the event.
"I always enjoy flying. I've done a lot of flying over the years and worked on airplanes," he said before the aerobatics. "So aircraft are a big part of my life. I started flying in 1972, and have had three different airplanes, and have worked on them up here at this hangar. I have actually recovered five airplanes and I've rebuilt engines and always enjoyed that.
"I know Roger Lincoln really well so it's kind of neat to see his granddaughter here," he added. It'll be a good show."
