From tee to green: Northern golf about to begin

League seasons are slowly winding down at both Prairie Farms Golf Course and Beaver Creek Golf Course. I'm hoping to have lots of results next week, so send those in, please.

Havre High golf is also starting to wind down its season. The Blue Ponies recently dualed Browning in Shelby, with Carter Spangler, Reid Kato, Shane Patacsil, Quinn Elliot and Noah Barrett all getting wins for the Pony boys, while Shea Reber, Madison Reber, Cally Pyrak, Callie Bebee, Tierra Parker and Brenna Hanson all won for the Pony girls.

Havre travels to Glendive and Sidney this weekend.

While aloof of golf is winding down, Montana State University-Northern golf is just getting started, The Lights and Skylights will make their fall debut Sept. 112 at the Providence Tournament in Great Falls. Northern then travels to Butte for the Montana Tech Invite Sept. 18-19 and wraps up the fall Oct. 2-3 at the Rocky Mountain Invitational.

Good luck to all the Northern golfers this fall, as well as head coach Jimmy Kirkpatrick.

Lastly, congrats goes out to Tim Winseltt on a hole-in-one last week at BCGC. He aced the Par-3 17th holes. Great job, Jim.
