Chinook basketball player Hallie Neibauer has signed on to play for the Montana Tech women's basketball team after high school. Neibauer will join the Orediggers after she wraps up her senior season with the Sugarbeeters this year.
Former Havre Blue Pony Avery Carlson isn't the only local basketball player heading south to Butte to continue her career.
Recently, Montana Tech head women's basketball coach Jeff Graham announced the signing of Chinook High School standout Hallie Neibauer to an NAIA national letter of intent. Neibauer is a three-time Class C All-State selection who is about to play her senior season of volleyball for the Sugarbeeters, before starting basketball in December.
During her junior season, Neibauer averaged over 20 points and nine rebounds per game. She helped lead the Sugarbeeters to the District 9C Championship and a spot in the State Class C Tournament. Neibauer also led the 9C in scoring as a sophomore. She's also a two-time Class C All-State performer in volleyball.
