Havre Trails sets its annual brewfest for Saturday

A local group that promotes hiking and biking and improving local trails is holding its annual Summer Brewfest this weekend in Pepin Park.

Havre Trails' brewfest is set to run from 2 to 7 p.m.

This is the fifth year Havre Trails, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, has held the fundraiser. Proceeds have gone to its work to improve local hiking and biking including creating the Rotary Canyon Loop Trail north of Bear Paw Lake, also called Second Lake and the new Brough's Coulee loop off of the Bear Paw Nature Trail in Beaver Creek Park, among other projects.

The brewfest will feature live music, by The Lucky Valentines out of Fort Benton, along with beverages and local food, a release from Havre Trails said.

Dozens of Montana beers and ciders will be offered on tap, along with wine and seltzers. People who who wish to sample the alcoholic beverages must be at least 21 and bring an ID, regardless of age, the release said.

Attendees are encouraged to walk and a SafeRide option will be available.

Food vendors at the event include The Streatery, Parker's BBQ, The Stack and Chachi's Tacos.

Non-drinkers are welcome to visit the food trucks and enjoy the free live music without paying an entrance fee, the release said.

Cost for a 9 ounce taster glass and 2 fills is $20, and each additional fill will cost $2.

The release said people can visit the Havre Trails Facebook page at https://facebook.com/havretrails or https://www.HavreAreaEvents.net for event updates.
