Havre Police Department

A caller on First Street Northeast reported Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. that a pickup truck had been stolen, and investigating officers found that the vehicle had been towed.

Martin Duane Flying Jr. of Havre, 31, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program no-show reported at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday at the police station.

Evelyn Frances Foursouls of Havre, 40, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge reported at the police station Tuesday at 8:12 a.m.

--

An electric scooter at 10:27 a.m. Tuesday was reported stolen from outside a Fourth Avenue residence.

--

A purse and a soda can were reported Tuesday at 12:12 p.m. found near the back gate of a Third Avenue residence.

--

A set of keys was reported found in the Smithville area Tuesday at 1:13 p.m.

--

A 1:27 p.m. Tuesday caller reported a bike was stolen on McKinley Avenue.

--

Tuesday at 2:09 p.m., the tires on a Dodge Caravan were reported slashed on 10th Street West.

--

A Ford pickup was reported Tuesday 5:16 p.m. sideswiped Monday on 14th Street.

An arrest was made after a Fifth Street caller reported at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday that a man was trying to get into the caller's home. No details on the charges were provided, but Neal Wayne Anderson, who was named as an involved party, was listed in Wednesday morning's jail roster as being held on a charge of violation of an order of protection.

A caller at a First Street business reported Wednesday at 11:20 a.m. money was taken from a vehicle.

Elaina Antoinette Wall of Ronan, 21, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation reported at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the police station.

Martin Duane Flying Jr. of Havre, 31, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and charges of resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers investigated suspicious activity on Eighth Avenue at 12:25 a.m. Thursday.

Amari Love Longknife of Havre, 18, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation reported at 8:06 a.m. Thursday.

--

A parking lot fender bender was reported Thursday at 2:54 p.m. at a First Street business.

--

Someone reported at a complaint at the police station Thursday at 3:32 p.m.

--

An assault was reported Thursday at 10:35 p.m. on Second Street.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Dayna Lynn Springer of Havre, 58, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 6:16 p.m.

Jessica Lynn Demarrias of Harlem, 34, was arrested on two shoplifting charges after deputies assisted another agency on Eighth Avenue at 12:30 a.m. Thursday

A 2:52 a.m. Thursday caller on Second Street Northwest reported that a roommate stole some items.

Clarrisa Mae Messerly of Havre, 32, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served at 11:01 a.m. Thursday at the detention center.

Martin Duane Flying Jr. of Havre, 31, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at the detention center Thursday at 11:38 a.m.

Jordan Michael Thomas of Havre, 32, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and on a Justice or City court warrant after a caller reported a person passed out in the road on the way to the dump at 6:57 a.m. today.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Tuesday, three calls Wednesday and three calls Thursday.

Firefighters, accompanied by an ambulance, responded to two different reports of a gas odor, at which no gas could be detected, the first call Tuesday at 5:18 p.m. on the 1100 Block of Grant Avenue, and the other call at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday on the 200 Block of Third Avenue. And they responded Wednesday morning to a battery fire, which was reported on in Havre Daily News' Thursday edition, page 1.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter Thursday morning held three cats, one 21-week-old kitten and three 2-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, three female cats, seven kittens between 14 weeks and 8 months old, and four male cats.

The shelter also held three 13-week-old puppies, two male dogs, four female dogs, two 10-week-old puppies and nine 15-week-old puppies. Additionally, seven 10-week-old mixed breed puppies and a male dog were being housed off-site.

Births

A girl was born Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, to Delilah and Wayne Stahl of Gildford.
