Havre Police Department

Jesse Lee Schoening of Havre, 33, was arrested on a trespass to property charge after a trespasser was reported on Sixth Avenue at 12:22 p.m. Friday.

A wallet was turned in to the police department Friday at 6:25 p.m. and returned to it’s owner.

A tree branch was reported in a power line Friday at 8:35 p.m. on McKinley Avenue, and NorthWestern Energy was notified.

A 14-year-old Havre boy was issued a summons on a juvenile curfew violation charge after an officer stopped Saturday at 12:41 a.m. to speak with a juvenile on Sixth Street.

A Saturday 9:32 a.m. caller on Third Street reported someone put sugar in their gas tank.

A two-vehicle crash at Montana Avenue and Second Street was reported Saturday at 2:43 p.m. Police Chief Gabe Matosich said the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu headed southbound on Montana failed to yield the right of way and was struck in the right rear corner by an eastbound 2003 Volkswagen bug. The Chevy was spun around and flipped onto its top. An ambulance was called to the scene and both drivers, the only vehicle occupants, were treated at the scene but not transported to the hospital.

Matosich added that this intersection, as approved by City Council, will soon have a four-way stop with a 50-foot extended crosswalk and flashing caution lights to assist with safety of senior citizens crossing the street from the intersection to the senior center parking lot.

A dog bite was reported on Second Street Northeast at 4:29 p.m. Saturday.

Everett Dale Windyboy of Havre, 70, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and open container after a Saturday 5:53 p.m. caller at a First Street West business reported an intoxicated man on a bench who needed a ride home.

A Third Street caller reported Sunday at 2:40 a.m. that a woman tried pawning guns to them.

A Seventh Street caller reported Sunday at 3:17 p.m. that a vehicle was stolen.

Sunday at 5:30 p.m., a caller at a First Street business reported a past theft.

A caller asked Sunday at 7:22 p.m. for a welfare check on someone on Second Street.

A 24/7 Sobriety Program no-show was reported at 8:01 a.m. Monday at the police station.

Evelyn Frances Foursouls of Havre, 40, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served on Second Street Monday at 12:03 p.m.

A caller at a First Street West business asked Monday at 2:14 p.m. to speak with an officer about a sign being hit.

Roy Randall Ereaux of Harlem, 52, was arrested on a pick-up and hold order Monday at 2:31 p.m. on 11th Street West.

A Second Street caller reported Monday at 4:42 p.m. a dog and a cat in a rental that needed to go to the animal shelter.

Danielle Lynn George of Havre, 20, was arrested, charges not listed, after a 10th Avenue caller reported a loud party Tuesday at 3:16 a.m.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported at 1:05 p.m. Friday at a U.S. Highway 2 West business.

A caller on County Road 90 South near Gildford reported Friday at 6:20 p.m. they’d had a fire and had put it out.

Deputies were asked Friday at 2:02 p.m. to assist another agency.

Gary Lee Clark of Havre, 58, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served at Hill county Detention Center Friday at 4:45 p.m.

Kenneth Eugene Wood Jr. of Havre, 58, was issued a summons on charges of dog running at large, nuisance dog and vicious dog after an animal control call to Rich Street at 5:50 p.m. Friday.

Shila Maria Chavez of Gildford, 41, was arrested on a charge of trespass to property and on two Justice or City court warrants after a caller reported a trespasser on a property on First Avenue in Gildford.

Chandra Nanette Ereaux of Havre, 45, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants and a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license after a Monday 4:12 p.m. caller reported a woman with a warrant had just walked into a U.S. Highway 2 West business, and deputies at 4:22 p.m. made a vehicle stop on U.S. Highway 2 West.

Montana Highway Patrol

Trooper Matt Erickson responded to a 10:05 p.m. Saturday report of a single-vehicle crash on Beaver Creek Highway about 7.5 miles south of Havre. Erickson said the four-door passenger car was headed southbound with two male occupants when the vehicle drifted to the right edge of the road. The driver overcorrected causing the vehicle to cross the center line into the northbound ditch where it struck an approach, went airborne, struck the ground on its nose, vaulted and hit on its backend, coming to rest facing north. Havre Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said one of the occupants made it out of the vehicle on his own, but the other had to be extricated by Havre Fire personnel. Erickson said both men sustained serious injuries and were transported to Northern Montana Hospital. Speed and alcohol are suspected as factors in the crash, Erickson added.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to six calls Friday including a fire call, six calls Saturday including two vehicle crashes, seven calls Sunday and two calls Monday.

Firefighters responded to a Friday 6:05 p.m. fire call on the 1500 Block of Smithville Road where the heating element in an electric oven was shorting out, staying hot and arcing. They unplugged the stove and advised getting a new oven.

Firefighters responded to two vehicle crashes Saturday, one at Montana Avenue and Second Street at 2:43 p.m. and the other on the 7000 Block of Beaver Creek Highway at 10:05 p.m., where they provided assistance with traffic control and with patients.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter Sunday morning held two cats, two 24-week-old kittens and three 1-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, three female cats, five male cats and two male 14-week-old kittens. Additionally, two 16-week-old kittens were being housed off-site.

The shelter also held two male dogs, four female dogs, two 9-week-old puppies and nine 15-week-old puppies. Additionally, seven 10-week-old mixed breed puppies and a male dog were being housed off-site.
