Local Golf Report: Goodrich Excavation wins ladies title match

Championships were on the line this past week at Prairie Farms Golf Course.

Last Thursday night saw the ladies conclude their season with the championship match between Prairie Farms and Goodrich Excavation. Goodrich won the championship match 20.5-15.5. The championship team was compiled of Lorrie Keller, Alicia Goodrich, Tara Taborsky and Heather Glahn. Congrats ladies on the championship and congrats to all the women for a great season.

Reminder, there will be a fall league meeting Thursday night at 8 p.m. at Prairie Farms.

A big congrats also goes out to Havre’s Jeremy Jensen who captured the Men’s Club Championship Sunday at Prairie Farms with an even-par 72. Jensen’s eighth club championship came by way of a playofff win over Jordy Donovan. Tommy “B” Brown was the overall net championship, coming in with a 67.

Next up for the men are the Men’s League Playoffs, which starts this week and runs through next Wednesday at Prairie Farms.

It was also a big week for Jensen, who’s Youth Summer League came to a close last week with its annual tournament at Prairie Farms. Mason Lewis won the Blue Circle Division with a 30, while Kayden Larson was first in the Red Tee Division with a 47, and Coyle Redding won the White Circle Division with a 46. On the girls side, Alix Holt was first with a 41. Congrats to all the kids who particpated, and again, thank you to Jeremy for putting this on, and continuing to help grow the youth game in Havre and on the Hi-Line.

I know I already wished the Blue Ponies good luck, but I’m going to do it again.

They officially kicked off their season today in Lewistown, and they host their annual Havre Invitational Thursday at Prairie Farms and Beaver Creek Golf Course. Best of luck to all of you. I’m so excited for your season.
