News you can use

Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

I'll fly away

You know, Lord, a friend shared a recent time she'd had, saying: "One day I noticed a bird in the street, just sitting there. Odd. Then a young lad showed up, also saw the bird and since I was old and stiff, he suggested that he'd bend down to see about releasing the bird. WE saw that the bird was stuck! The lad gently removed the one little foot that was trapped in a tiny crack, lifted the little foot from the crack; immediately the bird flew away, he was free.

"I thanked him, mentioned, Psalm 124:7-8, a Bible verse I'd just read about birds: 'We have escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.'"

Smiling, the lad said, "You sound just like my grandma! Thank you so much for sharing that Bible verse, grandma will love what you and I just did for the bird, and the verse you shared." Then off he raced.

C.C. continued: "As we noticed the bird's predicament, God notices the cracks in life where we are stuck.

Without the Lord's help, we would be defenseless against all harms. Our help IS in the Lord. Once freed, we too, can fly out of harm's way and soar above our problems."

"Thanks for sharing, CeCe. We know that our hope and our help is in the Lord alone. Gratefully, we can depend on HIM to free us from the snares of life! We know that when we're stuck and feeling helpless, in pain, depression, financial worries or grief, we do know that our Father notices and He will free us, right, CeCe?"

We chatted a bit more, thanking the Lord for the lad for rescuing the bird; that 'action' gave us an inspiring view on life.

Love, Mara
