Merceline Lamere-Parker, 86, born in Rocky Boy, MT, to Gabe Lamere and Elizabeth Saddler April 28th, 1937, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital August 7th, 2023.
Wake services were held Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy, MT, and funeral services were today, August 9, 2023, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow.
Merceline was always on the go and loved traveling. She really enjoyed traveling to watch her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren play basketball and other sports they participated in; she was their number one fan. Her one all-time favorite thing was playing poker; she’d win numerous tournaments and was ruthless against her opponents. She also enjoyed playing bingo and watching and playing hand game. She was fortunate to have a very big family including her nine children, 33 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Merceline went to Rocky Boy School and had some college. Her work experience included working at the Bear Paw casino, day care teacher, poker dealer and homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Parker Sr .; her sons Wayne Parker and Randall Parker; her daughter Elizabeth Parker; and her grandsons Jermyn Lamere, Ryan Sayer, Justin Witford, and granddaughter Michelle Parker and great-granddaughter Marley Jo Lee Standing Rock.
She is survived by her sons Theodore Parker (Nida), Jayde Parker, Jake (Fawn) Parker, Jim (Tammy) Swan, Ryan Windy Boy Jr., Raymond Jazz Parker, Arthur Witford Jr. and Austin Witford; her daughters Marsha ( Mike) Sayer, Brenda (Terry) Hollis, Mary Jane Parker, Jennifer (Ryan) Parker, Courtney (Justin) Small, Diane Swan and Tracey Parker.
