Havre Police Department

A caller reported Thursday at 6:41 a.m. that cows were loose on Wilson Avenue, and at 7:04 a.m. dispatch reported that a friend of the cows' owner would be coming to get the cows.

Officers investigated Thursday 8:01 a.m. and 8:02 a.m. reports of 24/7 Sobriety Program no-shows.

A summons was issued after animal control was informed Thursday at 2:46 p.m. about a dog bite. No details on charges were provided.

A Second Street caller reported Thursday at 5:15 p.m. that a man had stolen all the caller's TVs.

--

Amari Love Longknife of Havre, 18, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge after turning herself in to officers at the police station at 5:20 p.m. Thursday.

A Thursday 5:39 p.m. caller on First Street reported that their vehicle had been sideswiped.

--

Thursday at 6:54 p.m. at the police station, someone reported their vehicle had been broken into.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Vandalism was reported on 16th Street Northeast Thursday at 2:22 p.m.

Kristopher Ray Probert of Havre, 36, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants after a trespasser was reported on Sixth Street North Thursday at 9:57 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to six calls Thursday and two calls Friday.

Firefighters responded to a 9:37 a.m. Thursday request for mutual aid for a vehicle fire on U.S. Highway 87.

Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department

Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department, along with Havre Fire, Box Elder Volunteer Fire Department, Hill County Sheriff's Department and Montana Highway Patrol as well as Montana Department of Transportation, which provided water, to a report of a vehicle fire on U.S. Highway 87 near mile marker 100 Thursday at around 9:30 a.m. A Friday release from Bear Paw says that a camper caught fire while being towed by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 87. The driver of the vehicle pulled to shoulder of the road and got the vehicle unhooked and the propane tanks removed from the camper, the release said. The camper was a total loss, but no one was injured.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat of unknown gender, six male cats, two female cats and two 10-week-old kittens. Additionally, two 12-week-old kittens were being housed off-site.

The shelter also held four female dogs, three male dogs and seven puppies from 16 weeks to 11 months old. Additionally, a male dog was being housed off-site.
