P.E.O. Chapter AZ awards scholarships

Graduating Havre High School seniors Rayna Johnson and Mackenzie Kuhn each accepted their $500 P.E.O. Chapter AZ scholarships from chapter member Paulette Cronk earlier this year at the high school's annual scholarship awards ceremony.

Johnson said she will attend Montana Tech in Butte, studying nursing.

Kuhn said she will study pre-med at Montana State University in Bozeman.

The P.E.O. chapter is active in helping young women pursue a college education. The chapter typically provides two scholarships each year, with the two going to the Havre High seniors and another scholarship going to Montana State University-Northern student Emily Tripp of Babb, who is majoring in education at Northern.
