Hill County Sheriff's Office
Michael Dess of Box Elder, 20, was issued a summons on charges of partner or family member assault and theft after a Boulevard Avenue caller reported Monday at 11:20 p.m. being beat up by a significant other.

An arrest was made at Hill County Detention Center on a warrant Monday at 2:48 p.m., but no details on charges were provided.
Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical technicians responded to eight calls Monday and one call early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded along with an ambulance crew to the Amtrak derailment west of Havre Monday at 2:08 p.m. Two people were treated for minor injuries but waived transport to the hospital.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter Tuesday morning held one cat of unknown gender, six male cats, two female cats and five kittens 9 weeks to 11 weeks old kittens. Additionally, two 12-week-old kittens were being housed off-site.

The shelter also held four female dogs, one male dog and 12 puppies from 11 weeks to 11 months old. Additionally, a male dog was being housed off-site.
