Gregory was born September 3, 1958, in Havre, Montana to Gilbert Lee and Betty Mae (Springer) Anderson. He lived in the Bear Paw Mountains and Harlem, Montana. He attended school in Harlem, graduating in 1977. He began farming and ranching for Francis Bardanouve when he was a freshman in high school. A special bond was created, and he worked beside Francis from 1973-2002. Greg worked various mechanic and farm jobs until moving back to the Anderson Farm to continue what he loved.
In 1993, the joy of his life was born, his son Cassidy. From the time Cassidy could walk, Greg was showing him the ways of a farmer, mechanic, respectful man and most of all a dad.
Greg truly loved farming, haying and turning wrenches. You may have heard him cuss while doing it but it was a passion of his.
In his younger days, Greg was riding dirt bikes, racing motocross, fishing at the Faber Ranch, riding horses and spending time with family and friends. Family and friends meant the world to him. He would help anyone who needed it and was a mentor to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Betty Anderson; grandparents, Claude and Blanche Springer and Bert and Ruby Anderson; brother-in-law, Mike Newman; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Gregory is survived by his son, Cassidy Anderson; sisters, Deb (JC Harder) Newman, Blanche Marie (Jason) Waggoner; brothers, Bruce (Sally), Scoot (Missy), Jim, and Bill; brother-of-the-heart Mike (Jeanie) Kase, Mike (Lena) Thompson; sisters-of-the-heart, Susan O'leary and Annette Horn; nieces and nephews, Chris Anderson, Jenny (Jesse) Dickinson, Erika (Glen) Phillips, James (Ashley) Newman, Laurel (Peter) Kress, Skyler Anderson, Gavin Lemro, Austin Anderson, Tammie (JJ) Parks, Chad (Cory) Newman; aunts Ila Knudson and Lila (Stuart) Armstrong; many cousins and good friends; special friend Jeri Lynn; and his traveling partner; Missy Blue.
Greg, you are loved and missed. Rest in Peace.
You can put the tools away, your shift is over, we will take it from here.
