Due to technical problems in the pressroom, the Havre Daily will not publish a print edition today, but Publisher Don Thoma said a print edition should be back Wednesday courtesy of Kalispell’s Daily Interlake and a fix is underway to get the Havre Daily’s press back in operation.
“It’s just one thing after another,” Thoma said, adding that he appreciates the patience of the readers of the Havre Daily News as it deals with the problem.
Havre Daily has experienced several problems in running its press over the last 14 months or so, but, Thoma said, the other problems have been dealt with and the company is close to fixing the latest problem, an issue with the computerized system that prints the plates to hang on the press.
Havre Daily has made arrangements with the Daily Interlake for printing until the local press is running again, but could not arrange transportation for the papers today.
It should be back on the street Wednesday and from then on, Thoma said.
