Obituary - Helen E. Mueller

Helen E. Mueller of Chinook, Montana, 97, passed away on June 21st, 2023, at the Northern Montana Care Center in Havre Montana.

Helen was born January 31, 1926, to August and Louise (Huetter) Mueller in Chinook, Montana. After graduation from Chinook High School in 1944, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Montana State University in 1947.

Helen worked for Doctors Hospital in Seattle, Washington, from 1947-1950. Oct. 5th, 1950, Helen enlisted in the Navy. She spent four months at sea and was stationed in Adak Alaska.

Upon leaving the Navy, Helen worked in her field of study in both Polson, Montana, and Great Falls, Montana.

Helen was very involved with the family farm. She was an avid reader and loved to keep up with current events. She loved to visit with family and friends.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, August and Louise (Huetter) Mueller; brothers, Ervin and Oswald Mueller, and sisters, Hilda Starcher, Elsie Laden, Leatha Smock, Rosalie Warrick, Ella Laden and Louise Lorenzen.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 8th, 2023, at the Chinook cemetery.
