Havre Police Department

A caller at a First Street West business reported Monday at 7:11 a.m. that a weed eater had been sitting at the business for a week, and the caller thought it might have been stolen from somewhere else.

A Grant Avenue caller reported at 10:27 a.m. Monday that the tailgate was stolen from the caller's pickup truck.

--

Larae Ann Ameline of Havre, 40, was arrested on three Justice or City court warrants served on Third Street at 12:28 p.m. Monday.

--

A weed eater and a lawnmower were reported stolen from Second Street West Monday at 1:48 p.m.

--

A two-vehicle crash was reported Monday at 2:11 p.m. on Third Street.

--

A Monday 2:54 p.m. report of a bear between Havre Ice Dome and the softball complex south of Havre was reported to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

Michael Scott Morsette of Box Elder, 40, was issued a summons on a theft charge after a caller reported finding at a pawn shop a cooler that had been stolen from the caller's pickup truck.

Officers made an investigation after a Monday 9:44 p.m. caller asked for assistance.

Desirea Lee Writingbird of Box Elder, 42, was arrested on charges of assault, disorderly conduct and open container after a caller at the hospital reported a woman was getting physically aggressive at 11:25 p.m. Monday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A vehicle crash reported near Box Elder Monday at 7:20 p.m. was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

A vehicle crash involving a deer near mile marker 394 on U.S. Highway 2 was referred to the sheriff's office from Rocky Boy Police Department Monday at 10:16 p.m. The crash was in Blaine County and referred to Montana Highway Patrol troopers.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to 10 calls Monday and one call early Tuesday. Firefighters responded in conjunction with the ambulance crew to what turned out to be a downed cable line on the 600 Block of Ninth Avenue at 4:06 p.m. Monday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four female cats, 10 male cats and seven kittens between 5 and 12 weeks old.

The shelter also held four female dogs, three male dogs and six puppies from 11 weeks to 10 months old. Additionally, a 20-week-old puppy and a dog were being housed off-site.
