Local Golf Report: Tournaments roll on in Havre

From Tee to Green

The tournament season is in full swing at both area golf courses.

Last weekend saw Prairie Farms Golf Course host the Natalie Patrick Foundation Scramble. Of course, a great time was had by all, and the tournament is for an awesome cause as so many benefit from the Natalie Patrick Foundation, including Havre High golf and Montana State University-Northern.

So I would like to to take this time to thank the Patrick family for your generosity and for putting on such a great event.

Beaver Creek Golf Course also hosted the North Star Golf Tournament last weekend. That's another great tournament that so many kids up on the Hi-Line benefit from. Great job everybody.

Speaking of BCGC, men's league is now in full swing, as the course is coming back strong after the flooding. Cavaliers is in first place on Monday night and Koefod is leading on Thursday night.

In men's league at Prairie Farms, Montana Outfitting Co. is in first place on Tuesday night, and D.A. Davidson is leading on Wednesday night.

In women's league at Prairie Farms, last week saw Kelsey Gobert earn low gross with a 38, while Kristi Peterson and Katie Heath were low net at 33. Prairie Farms was high team with 24. Chandra Moomey, Kristi Peterson, Dana Seidel and Kelsey Gobert made up the team.

Back on the tournament front, this weekend will be the Havre Wrestling Club Tournament at BCGC, while the Northern Football Tournament has been postponed.
