Lewis Heating and Cooling captures Babe Ruth City League championship

In late May, the Babe Ruth City League crowned a champion in Lewis Heating and Cooling. In the double-elimination baseball tournament, Lewis Heating and Cooling had to win two games in a row against No 1. Seed Bear Paw Precast to walk away with the title. And Lewis Heating and Cooling did just that.

In the first game of the championship series, Lewis Heating and Cooling won to force the winner-take-all game. Then in the second game, Lewis Heating and Cooling rolled to win by the 10-run rule to clinch the 2023 Babe Ruth City League championship.

The championship team of Lewis Heating and Cooling was made up of Tommy Lewis, Kash Keller, Quinn Elliot, Logan Kinsella, Cash Schubert, Landon Kinsella, Tucker Stygles, Jonathan Blair, Wyatt Anderson, Coye Shagnon and Wayne Durbin. The second-place team of Bear Paw Precast consisted of Cael Leeds, Oliver Benjamin, Ryden Turntoes, Austin Velk, Teegan Solomon, Simeon Keever, Cooper Walton, Hayden Berreth, Bentley Boucher, Colwyn Haney and Huntyn Azure.

Even with the Babe Ruth City League now over, there will be plenty more baseball from the Havre Youth Baseball Association coming in the next few weeks. On Tuesday, the minors league will hold its championship game at 5:30 p.m. Then Tuesday, June 20, the majors league will hold its championship game at 5:30 p.m. The Havre Daily News will have coverage of those games, so stay tuned.
