Hi-Line players lead team to victory at All-Star Football game

Before he moves on to play football for the Montana State University-Northern Lights, Big Sandy’s Braydon Cline had one more high school football game to play,

And he played it quite well.

Cline threw four touchdown passes to help lead the Red Team to a 38-12 win in the 27th annual Six-Man All-Star Game Friday night in Highwood.

Cline, who helped Big Sandy to a Six-Man state championship last fall, wasn’t the only Pioneer to shine Friday night. Former Big Sandy teammate Rusty Gasvoda was named the Defensive MVP alongside Cline, who was the Offensive MVP. Big Sandy head coach Larry Jappe was also the coach of the winning Red Team.

The win was a Hi-Line affair as well, as Braden Mattsonn of Chester-Joplin-Inverness caught one of the four TDs from Cline, as did Hawk’s teammate Blake Harmon.

All four Hi-Line standouts also performed well on defense for the Red Team, which won for the 12tn time in the series.
